Trademark and Copyright Usage Guidelines
Effective: 10/24/2023
At Â鶹´«Ã½, Inc. (¡°Â鶹´«Ã½¡±), we understand the value of hard work and creativity. In fact, innovation is one of our core values. Integrity is another. And that¡¯s why we are committed to respecting the intellectual property rights of others, and we expect others to do the same.
As you can imagine, the Â鶹´«Ã½ trademarks (¡°Â鶹´«Ã½ Trademark(s)¡±) are some of our most valuable company assets, and as such, we work hard to protect and enforce our rights, when necessary. As a result, we ask that you use our trademarks properly to maintain the strength and integrity of the Â鶹´«Ã½ brand. We created these Trademark and Copyright Usage Guidelines (¡°Guidelines¡±) to help you do just that.
Written for Â鶹´«Ã½ customers, partners, suppliers, and vendors, as well as third-party developers, members of the media and public, and any other unaffiliated third party (¡°you,¡± ¡°your,¡± or ¡°yours¡±), these Guidelines will help you better understand how to work correctly with our trademarks and copyrights. We update our Guidelines from time to time, so be sure to check back in when you are considering working with our trademarks and copyrights.
What¡¯s included?
Trademarks. Our trademarks include all registered and unregistered trademarks and service marks (including words, logos, slogans, or a combination thereof) owned by Â鶹´«Ã½ or its subsidiaries. A representative list of our current trademarks can be found on our Â鶹´«Ã½ Trademark List.
Copyrights. Â鶹´«Ã½¡¯s copyrighted works (¡°Â鶹´«Ã½ Copyrighted Works¡±) include all of our creative works, including without limitation, proprietary source code, software, and user interface; workday.com website, related pages and content therein, whitepapers, images, screenshots, photographs, data sheets, videos, reports, icons, graphics, articles, and other marketing, educational, promotional, reference, and training materials and collateral.?
Again, we know the do¡¯s and don¡¯ts can be confusing, so we¡¯ve created these Guidelines to assist you in recognizing the proper and improper uses of our trademarks and copyrighted material. Please note that these Guidelines do not grant you a license to use any Â鶹´«Ã½ Trademarks or Â鶹´«Ã½ Copyrighted Works outside of any separate written agreement that may exist between you and Â鶹´«Ã½, and you may not reproduce, copy, distribute, display or perform, edit, create derivative works, or post Â鶹´«Ã½ Copyrighted Works on any website without prior written authorization from Â鶹´«Ã½.

General guidelines.
Check out some of the most common scenarios you¡¯ll encounter when working with Â鶹´«Ã½ Trademarks and copyrighted works.
When you are referring to Â鶹´«Ã½ products or services, you may use the Â鶹´«Ã½ Trademarks nominally and in plain text. It¡¯s important to note that this does not include the use or display of our logos, which¡ªas you¡¯ve seen above¡ªmust be expressly authorized by Â鶹´«Ã½. And, yes, in writing.
If you have a product or service that is compatible with Â鶹´«Ã½, you are welcome to use the Â鶹´«Ã½ brand. Simply,? display a referential phrase such as ¡°for use with Â鶹´«Ã½? Human Capital Management¡± or ¡°compatible with Â鶹´«Ã½? Financial Management.¡± And be sure to include the proper trademark and/or copyright symbols.
To avoid any unnecessary confusion, you may not use, register, or incorporate the Â鶹´«Ã½ Trademarks in any part of your company, product, or service name. Likewise, you may not register a domain name or create any social media account, username, page, group, or handle that incorporates any Â鶹´«Ã½ Trademark in a way that is likely to confuse the public as to whether a website, page, or account is affiliated with or sponsored by Â鶹´«Ã½.
At this point, it should come as no surprise that the use of any logo owned by Â鶹´«Ã½ is not permitted without prior and express written permission.?
